Many of us have valuable DVDs that serve our collecting purposes. Also, we may have a DVD of a special event, like a wedding, birthday, holiday or so, that we want to share with our family and friends. This free program allows us to make a copy of any DVD into our hard disk so we can then burn its content into a DVD disk. The process is very easy. You only need to put the DVD you want to copy into your DVD drive, and select the Open DVD option in the main interface. Then you need to choose the source folder, commonly VIDEO_TS on the DVD disk. The interface will show you the different titles and chapters of the disc so you can choose those you want to rip (the program only allows you to rip one title at a time). Also, you can enable/disable the subtitles option and, supposedly, watch a preview of each chapter (although I had some trouble with this). Finally, you need to click on the Rip button, and the program will start copying the DVD to your hard disk according to your settings. It is a very easy and quick process.
Just don't forget that illegal copying of copyrighted material, including DVDs, is forbidden in most countries. So, you are allowed to use this program only for personal purposes.
